The workload view (available on any project) let you see how many tasks a user or resource has to do simultaneously on all the project lifetime. Each user (or resource) has its own lane, and tasks are distributed by user across the timeline.
You can do classic horizontal drag & drop to change dates and duration, or vertical drag & drop to change assignees.
Each task has support for many attributes that will help you enhance your chart.

Baselines are the best way to track schedule changes and delays. You can create as many baselines as you want (chart captures), and load them on top of your chart at any time in the future.
